Navyug Publishers Delhi publishes a collection of poems by Bhai
Kahan Singh Nabha titled 'Gitanjali Harivrijesh'

(Aug 12 ) - Navyug Publishers Delhi has published a collection of poems by the great
Punjabi scholar Bhai Kahan Singh Nabha, , in book form under the title
'Gitanjali Harivrijesh'. The book was edited and the meaning of the poems was
explained by a scholar of Punjabi University, Patiala,
Dr. Ravinder Kaur Ravi and Dr. Jagmail Singh Bhathuan.
Even before this, books related to Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha,
'Bikhre Moti' and 'Itihas Khandan Bagrian' also have been prepared by the Dr. Ravi
and Dr. Bhathuan for Navyug Publishers.
It may be recalled that 'Gitanjali Harivrijesh' is a
collection of ancient poems which Bhai Kahan Singh Nabha has been writing from
time to time for various newspapers and magazines during his lifetime. The Vice
Chancellor of Punjabi University, Patiala,
Dr. Arvind released this collection of
poems by Bhai Kahan Singh Nabha 'Gitanjali Harivrijesh'.. Major Adarshpal
Singh, great grandson of Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha, also participated in the event
, among others. Releasing time at Punjabi University Patiala,The
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Arvind himself, recited the poem "Ayeo Guru Nanak
Alookik Vasant" from this book and congrats to Dr Ravinder Kaur Ravi and
Dr Jagmail Singh Bhathuan for this auspicious work .VC Dr. Arvind said that our
ancient Punjabi scholars respected Hindi as well as other languages besides
their mother tongue.
It is worth mentioning that Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha
(1861-1938), a man of many talents, had a wide range of literary interests.
However, he started his literary journey through poetry. In the early days of
his life, Kahan Singh started writing humorous poems after learning how to
compose poetry from Bhai Bhagwan Singh Duganwale and Bhai Vir Singh Jalalke. 'Gitanjali
Harivrijesh' is an invaluable collection of Kahan Singh Nabha's poems. Ravinder
Kaur Ravi and Dr. Jagmail Singh Bhathuan has preserved it in the book form.
